Mother
MOTHER is a photography series about heartbreak, longing, and the strange space between pain and beauty.
Made in collaboration with my daughter and the ocean, the photographs are created with an old, malfunctioning underwater camera. Seawater enters the camera as I photograph, leaving marks, light leaks and chemical scars across the film.
The work follows the experience of moving through loss while continuing to love, make, remember and imagine possibilities in a broken world.
