Frontiers
Digital film, underwater series
Frontiers explores the shifting boundary between land and sea, a space of transition, beauty, and tension. Through digital photography and freediving, the series reflects on how humans and marine life share the instinct to explore, adapt, and belong. Inspired by my experience volunteering with a local swimming program and observing people learning to move in the ocean for the first time, Frontiers contrasts human vulnerability with the fluid grace of whales. Both species cross the same threshold, navigating the limits of breath and body. The work invites viewers to experience this meeting point between elements, where differences dissolve, and a quiet kinship with the natural world emerges.
